This policy explains what we do with the information you give us on this website. We have written it in plain language. If anything here is unclear, please ask us.
Who we are and how to reach us
We are Twin Brothers Seafood & Steakhouse, at the Fish Fry on Arawak Cay, West Bay Street, Nassau, The Bahamas. This website, twinbrothersbahamas.com, is ours. It is built and maintained for us by our website provider, DDigiLeads.

What we collect, and when
We only collect what you type into one of our two forms. There is no account to create and nothing to sign up for.
When you request a table. The booking form asks for your name, a phone or WhatsApp number, the date and time you want, and your party size. Those are required. You can also add your email address, tell us the occasion, and write any special requests. If you choose Birthday as the occasion, we also ask who you are celebrating and whether there is anything special we should plan.
When you send us a message. The contact form asks for your name, your email address, and your message. Those are required. Your phone number is optional.
When our spam protection checks a submission. Both forms are protected against automated abuse. That check reads your internet address, how long the form was open before you sent it, and a one-time token from the security widget. Your internet address is used only to run that check and to stop one sender from flooding the forms. Our server keeps a shortened, scrambled version of it in a log, which cannot be turned back into your address. That log holds no names, no messages, and no contact details.
When you are just reading the website. We do not collect anything beyond the standard records our web server keeps of the pages it serves. Those records exist so the site can run and be kept secure.
Why we use it
Three reasons, and no others.
- To receive, confirm, and prepare for your table request.
- To read and reply to your message.
- To protect the forms from spam and automated abuse.
Where your information goes
To our own inboxes. Every table request and every message arrives as an email in the restaurant's own inboxes, which our staff read.
Back to you, if you asked for a table and left an email. We send a short email confirming that your request arrived. It is a receipt, not a confirmed reservation.
Into a spreadsheet we use to manage bookings. Table requests are also written into a private spreadsheet the restaurant uses to keep track of who is coming.
Into a record held by our website provider. Our website provider keeps a copy of each form submission in a secure database on servers in the United States. This is a working record, so that nothing is lost if an email goes astray. Table requests are kept for 24 months. Messages are kept for 12 months. After that they are deleted.
To our booking line on WhatsApp, when that alert is switched on. We are setting up an alert that sends a short notice of a new table request to the restaurant's own booking number on WhatsApp. When it is running, that notice carries the booking details you submitted.
Other services this website uses
A few things on our pages are run by other companies. When your browser loads them, it contacts those companies directly, and their own privacy policies apply.
- Cloudflare Turnstile runs the security check on both forms. Cloudflare receives your internet address as part of that check.
- Google Maps provides the map showing where we are. Loading the map contacts Google.
- YouTube hosts the videos on our About page. The preview image is loaded from YouTube. The video itself only loads if you press play.
- WhatsApp is where our "message us" links take you. Tapping one opens a chat with us in WhatsApp.
- Facebook is where our social link takes you. We do not run any Facebook tracking code on this site.
What we do not do
We do not sell your information, and we do not rent, trade, or share it for anyone else's marketing.
We do not run advertising trackers or analytics on this website. There is no Google Analytics, no advertising pixel, and no tag manager on any page.
We do not run a newsletter from this website, so there is no mailing list to be added to.
Children
This website is for making table requests and sending us messages. It is not aimed at children, and we do not knowingly collect information from a child. If a child has sent us something through a form and you are their parent or guardian, contact us and we will delete it.
Your choices and your rights
You can ask us to show you what information we hold about you, to correct it if it is wrong, or to delete it. Contact us using any of the details at the top of this policy, and tell us enough for us to find your record, such as the name and phone number you used.
We will not charge you for a reasonable request, and we will answer as quickly as we can.
These rights are set out in The Bahamas Data Protection (Privacy of Personal Information) Act, 2003, which governs how businesses in The Bahamas handle personal information.
If you are visiting us from another country, the law where you live may give you further rights. Ask us and we will do our best to help.
One practical note about deletion. When we delete your record, we delete the record we hold. Emails already sent to our inboxes, and our website provider's routine backups, may hold a copy for a short period afterwards before they are overwritten in the normal course.
How we protect it
Our forms are sent over an encrypted connection. The records held by our website provider sit behind a password-protected login with restricted access, and only the people who need to see a booking can see one. Access to our inboxes and our booking spreadsheet is limited to restaurant staff and the people who run the website for us.
No system is perfect, and we will not pretend otherwise. What we can tell you is that we collect very little, we keep it only as long as we have said, and we do not pass it on.
Changes to this policy
If we change how the forms work or where the information goes, we will update this page and change the effective date at the top. Significant changes will be flagged on the page itself.
